Novoceram is committed to ensuring that its digital services are accessible to people with disabilities. Novoceram has invested heavily to ensure access for all users, including people with disabilities, because we truly believe that everyone has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and independence.
Digital accessibility is not just a goal to be achieved, but an ongoing commitment that we pursue in all aspects of our digital services. We recognise that this requires continuous monitoring, improvement and adaptation. In the following sections, we outline the various efforts we have undertaken to ensure digital accessibility for all.
We use accessibility methods and tools that comply with industry standards, in line with the applicable version of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defined by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the international web standardisation organisation.
Novoceram provides an accessibility widget, supported by a dedicated accessibility server. The widget offers user-activated enhancements that allow visitors to improve the accessibility of the site. These features include increasing font size, pausing animations, changing colour contrast and much more. Users can choose combinations that suit their needs, in accordance with WCAG level AAA. The site has enabled Automatic Remediation Technology (ART) for all visitors, regardless of whether they use assistive technologies. ART does not detect the use of assistive technologies; rather, it improves accessibility for all visitors to the site, regardless of their abilities, by implementing features such as (not an exhaustive list):
• Images and other non-text elements have associated alternative text where necessary;
• Keyboard navigation is improved with aids such as focus indicators and skip links;
