ExPosés – Le Consortium

A journey from single-fired tiles to Internet!Novoceram has achieved – as usual now in June – a Grand Event, double-face: an online contest for pictures on his Facebook page where all the fans could participate and an evening event for architects, which took place at the Center for Contemporary Art, The Consortium, Dijon, Tuesday, June 26th.
Novoceram and Doras, building material trading in Dijon, joined in this operation to meet in an original architects and local businesses and help them discover a double exposure. The latter combined photography and ceramics, to address the theme from remarkable evolution of this matter in recent decades, and perceive the full extent that this has generated profound changes in our daily scenarios.
From the entrance of the Art Center, the Novoceram collections rubbed artistic works without ever making them shade.
In this photo taken at the beginning of the course, we see how the two initiatives were closely linked: on one side, the best photos of the online competitions have helped fuel the presentation of the latest collections precisely « exposed » to the ground Museum on small platforms, as here the Icone series. On the other hand, the works of artists presented in the exhibition « The World as Will and Papier-painted » based on the novel by Michel Houellebecq served exceptional setting to stage the new collections Novoceram.
Guests were given a tour led by a guide from the center (see photo below), which allowed them to discover both the works of artists such as Fernand Léger, Jean Lurcat, Valentin Carron and other as well as new products Novoceram porcelain stoneware.
Unlike art, very fragile, visitors are free to touch the exposed tile: below, Noa, prosecutors ceramic blade 15×90 cm format.
Noa series was also presented outdoors in its non-slip version Plein-Air, alongside the photo that won the Prize « Jury Coup de Coeur ».
Cast the series was well represented alongside the main character of the novel by Michel Houellebecq, a full size boiler, inscribed on the wall.
Some works have left more than a dreamer!
« ExPosés » was also an opportunity for some individuals to experience a close very prestigious Florilège series as below.
The contrast of genres often lend themselves to smile in the photo below, next to the product Icone Bleue, you can see the ground a picture of a young woman photographed with his old typewriter, probably contemporary with the old ground where it is asked – one of the first photos that we have received for the competition and won the special mention « Art » of Novoceram jury.
The first floor of the Centre had also been invested: in the photo below, you can see the different colors of the series Standard Evolution amid photographs of Roe Ethridge.
In the next room, Novoceram presented in preview the Vertige series, which will be presented at Cersaie 2012 (the photo is taken voluntarily by far to keep all the suspense of his presentation on the future stand in Bologna!):
View from the floor: the library, where participants completed their visit by documenting through catalogs or through computers, one connected to Novoceram’s Facebook page, the other connected to the website. A third PC offered a presentation of the company repeatedly.
At this memorable evening, the virtual reality has come and past remembered our present, to the delight of all!
